Pages and wiki

A page is a document that lives with the work instead of in a different tool that nobody remembers to update.

Same editor as a task description, same mentions, same files. If you can write a comment, you can write a page.

Where Good for
Workspace wiki Things everyone needs — onboarding, policies, how we deploy.
Project pages Things one project needs — the spec, the launch checklist, the retro.

Project pages are the same feature scoped to a project, so the spec sits next to the board that implements it. Nobody has to go looking in a company wiki for a document about one project.

Pages go into folders, and folders are color-coded so a doc tree stays readable at forty pages.

  • Drag a page between folders.
  • Favorite the pages you live in — they surface first for you, without changing anything for anyone else.
  • Filter public vs private to find the drafts you have not shared yet.

This is the whole reason a wiki inside your tracker beats a wiki outside it.

  • @@ drops in a task. It shows the task’s current title and status — not a copy of what it was called when you wrote the doc.
  • @@@ links another page.
  • @@@@ pulls in a file that is already attached somewhere.
  • @ mentions a person — and they are notified, guests included, with a preview of the exact paragraph.

A spec written this way does not go stale in the usual way. The prose can age; the task chips inside it cannot.

Select any text on a page and create a task from it. The title is prefilled and the new task links back to where it was said.

Meeting notes become a plan without a second pass. See Write anything.

A page can hold a whiteboard as a block. Diagram in the middle of the doc rather than linking out to a canvas nobody opens.

Small things that add up over a long document:

  • A live character count, for when you are writing to a length.
  • Drafts survive a reload — close the tab by accident and the text is still there.
  • Toggles collapse detail you want available but not in the way.
  • Tables survive an Excel paste intact.

Pages are a workspace module. If your admin has the Wiki or Project pages module switched off, the surface is hidden for everyone — see Workspace settings.
