Keyboard shortcuts
dotby is built to be driven from the keyboard. You never have to memorize this page: press ? inside the app and you get the same list, filtered to what you can actually do right now.
The two keys that matter

The command palette is the front door to everything: search any task, project, page, or person, and run most actions without hunting for a button.
Inside the palette, two characters jump straight to a kind of thing:
- @ — search people
- # — search channels
General
Section titled “General”| Keys | What happens |

N is context-aware: on a pages surface it makes a page, on a whiteboards surface a whiteboard. C always makes a task, from anywhere.
Navigation
Section titled “Navigation”Navigation uses chords: tap G, release it, then tap the second key. You have a little over a second to finish the chord before it lapses.

There is a deliberate difference between the two halves of that table. The first three go straight to a single destination. The five “jump to” chords open the palette already scoped to that kind of thing, so you can type a few letters and land on the exact one — and the plain index page is still one Enter away, on the pinned “Go to” row at the top.
Sidebar sections
Section titled “Sidebar sections”1 to 9 follow the icon rail, top to bottom, exactly as it is rendered for you. 0 is always your account.
Because the numbers are positional, they stay correct when a module is turned off for your workspace, and guests get their own shorter numbering for free.
Task properties
Section titled “Task properties”These work while the pointer is over a task — on a board card, in a list row, anywhere. You do not have to open the task first.

Note that C means “move to a sprint” here, not “create a task”. While you are hovering a task, the property meaning wins.
When shortcuts do nothing
Section titled “When shortcuts do nothing”Single-letter shortcuts are suppressed while your cursor is in a text field — an input, a filter box, a title, a description, a comment. That is intentional: typing “created” in a comment should not create seven tasks.
⌘K still works everywhere.
Some shortcuts are also hidden because they lead somewhere you cannot go. Guests only see the ones that apply to their projects, and if a module like Chat is turned off for your workspace, its chord is not taught and does nothing.
